Non-Executive Director Appointment

Elektron announces that Jeremy Gordon Thorn, aged 61, has joined the Board with immediate effect as a non-executive director initially for a period of one year. He will chair the Audit Committee.

Jeremy has held many non-executive director posts in medium sized organisations following a successful executive career. He has considerable experience of high growth, international markets, and innovative technology based companies. His particular focus is recruitment for organisational best fit and managing the talent gap in rapidly expanding organisations.

During his executive career he has held senior managerial posts in manufacturing and engineering services companies, including Bridon Plc, Staveley Industries Plc and Spear & Jackson Plc.

Jeremy holds an Honours degree in Metallurgy and is a Chartered Engineer, with post-graduate training at the European College of Marketing, Cranfield and the London Business School.

The companies in which he has previously been a director within the past 5 years are Thorn Hinton Limited, Lightwork Design Limited, AD Venture (Business Support Development) Limited, Navisworks (UK) Limited, Navisworks Limited, Lightwork Design (UK) Limited, Machineworks Limited, Officeworks (UK) Limited and Spawforth Rolinson Limited. There are no other disclosures required under Schedule 2 paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies. Jeremy is the holder of 40,000 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company representing approximately 0.05 per cent of the total voting rights in the Company.
