Board Appointments

On 30 July 2010 Elektron plc ("Elektron" or "the Company") announced that it had acquired a majority shareholding in Hartest Holdings plc and that it intends to make an offer for remaining shares that it does not own. As a result of the acquisition and as announced on 6 August 2010, a review of Board structure is taking place.

Neill Ricketts and John Wilson have today been appointed Directors of the Company.

Neill Ricketts is an operations specialist with over 20 years of senior level experience working in sectors including automotive, Formula One, aerospace and defence. Since joining Elektron in December 2008 he has successfully turned around a number of underperforming businesses that had been neglected by their previous owners.

John Wilson joined Elektron in March 2008 as Technical Director, after a career in high-tech industry and technology consulting for a world leading technology consultancy. He was subsequently appointed Group Technology Advisor, President & CEO of the US subsidiary and most recently, Divisional Managing Director of Elektron Technology ('ET') in April 2010. He is responsible for ET's transformation to a technology based solutions provider.

Commenting, Keith Daley, Chairman of Elektron, said:
