The Board of Chesterfield Resources has accepted the resignation of Mr Evgeny Vrublevskiy with immediate effect. In addition the Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Kashif Afzal as a non-executive director. These changes have occurred following the pending sale of Chesterfield shares by Polymetal, which have been representated by Mr Vrublevskiy on the Board, to Juniper International FZ LLC, a private investment holding and advisory company with a particular focus on mining and renewable energy that is based in the UAE. The final completion of the sale of the shares by Polymetal remains subject to certain regulatory considerations and it is expected that formal notification will be issued upon completion of the remaining formalities.

Mr Afzal, is a British businessman based in the UAE, and a graduate of Oxford University and the professional programme at the Camborne School of Mines. In addition to Juniper International FZ LLC, Mr Afzal is an advisor to a number of institutional and family office investors and a Director of Blockbase Asia and Bosonic Energy. He will be a welcome addition to the Board of Chesterfield as his experience and network in the UAE will assist in the identification and financing of additional opportunities for the company.

Ajay Kejriwal, Interim CEO and CFO of Chesterfield, has for some time been a consultant to Juniper Capital Partners Ltd, a company that is also owned by Mr Afzal.

Chesterfield Executive Chairman Paul Ensor said, "We are grateful for the support that Chesterfield has received from Polymetal since it became a shareholder in 2020 and to Mr Vrublevskiy's contribution to the Board and we wish him well for the future. We are very pleased to welcome Mr Afzal to the Board at an important time for the Company as it contemplates additional initiatives."
