Interim Management Statement and AGM

Castings plc will be holding its Annual General Meeting this afternoon and at the meeting Chairman Brian Cooke will make the following statement.

The first three months trading has been very encouraging and is ahead of expectations. As stated in the Chairman's Statement on the 22nd June we have no indication from our major customers of reductions in demand, however it is still too early to know how the current economic problems will affect us.

I am pleased to report work is well underway for the new building which should be completed on time by January 2012.
