6 December 2010 Conroy Diamonds and Gold Plc (the "Company") AGM Statement A year of progress

At today's Annual General Meeting of Conroy Diamonds and Gold Plc (AIM: CDG; ESM: CDGI), the Irish based resource company exploring and developing gold and other projects in Ireland, the Chairman Professor Richard Conroy will make the following comments:

"During the period ended 31 May 2010 the Company made the important step from exploration to mine development. The drilling results from both Clontibret, where we have a JORC complaint gold resource of 1 million ounces having drilled only 20 per cent. of the licence area, and Clay Lake, where we have identified 13 mineralised zones, have been, in my opinion, excellent.

"At Clontibret, scoping studies, which will include a preliminary mine plan, have commenced and post the year end Golder Associates were appointed as environmental consultants. We look forward to updating shareholders on progress as the work advances.

"Clay Lake is potentially a larger target and step out drilling has proven very positive. We will look to firm up the results and in the coming months work towards building a detailed picture of the anomaly and its scale. The information we currently hold indicates that it may be even more prospective than Clontibret.

"Equally importantly we have raised sufficient monies, both during and post period end, to fund the work necessary to complete the feasibility study at Clontibret and to carry out further work to confirm the scale of the Clay Lake deposit and for additional drilling, as necessary.

"Finally, I would like to thank the team and the advisers for their hard work, Conroy has made excellent progress on all fronts over the last 18 months and as a result we are very excited about the prospects for the Company."
