Character Group PLC28 September 2005 Issued by Citigate Dewe Rogerson Ltd, BirminghamDate: Wednesday, 28 September 2005 IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Character Group plc ("the Group" or "the Company" or "Character Group") Directorate Resignation Subsequent to the issue of the Group's announcement on 22 September 2005relating to Mr Enrico Preziosi stepping aside from his roles as ManagingDirector and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, Mr Preziosi has informedthe Board that he had intended to resign as a Director of the Company at thesame time in order to concentrate on his other interests. The Board of Character Group has today received and accepted Mr Preziosi'swritten formal resignation which is effective immediately. The Directors aregrateful to Mr Preziosi for his service to the Company since assuming his Boardposition in August 2000 and would like to acknowledge and thank him for hisconsiderable contribution to the Group. Giochi Preziosi S.p.a ("Giochi Preziosi") remains a 22.5% shareholder in theCharacter Group. The Directors remain unaware of any intention by GiochiPreziosi to reduce its shareholding in the Group. Any developments will becommunicated to shareholders, as appropriate.
