Purchase of Shares by a Director

On 17 December 2008, Charlemagne Capital Limited ("Charlemagne", the "Company"), was notified of purchases of shares in the Company by Lord Lang of Monkton, a non-executive Director of the Company. 

On 17 December 2008, Lord Lang purchased 60,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each, at a price of 8p per share. 

As a result of this purchase, Lord Lang now has an interest in 100,000 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each or 0.036% of the total number of Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each in issue.
