On 23 December 2008, Charlemagne Capital Limited ("Charlemagne", the "Company"), was notified that on 23 December 2008, David McMahon, an executive Director of the Company, purchased 500,000 ordinary shares of US$0.01 each of Charlemagne's issued share capital at an average price, before expenses, of 8.00 pence per share. As a result of this purchase, David McMahon now owns 5,500,000 ordinary shares of US$0.01 each, representing 1.96% of the issued share capital.
