Charlemagne Capital Limited07 September 2007 7 September 2007 Charlemagne Capital Purchase of Shares by a Director On 6 September 2007, Charlemagne Capital Limited ("Charlemagne", the "Company"),was notified of a purchase of shares in the Company by interests connected withJames Mellon, a non-executive Director of the Company. A company which is whollyowned by a trustee of a settlement under which James Mellon has a life interesthad made purchases in the open market earlier on the same day. This company purchased 6,750 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each at price of 60p pershare. As a result of these purchases, James Mellon and entities connected with him nowhave interests in 53,694,397 Ordinary Shares of US$0.01 each or 18.6% of thetotal number of Ordinary Shares of US$ 0.01 each in issue.
