Changes in CIB's Board of Directors Structure
Cairo, May 23rd, 2013
CIB is pleased to announce the appointment of three new Board members:
Mr. Jawaid Mirza as an Executive board member and Managing Director and Dr.Sherif Kamel and Mr. Yasser Hashem as Non Executive board members. All the three new board members bring valuable experience and will supplement the Board's existing skills mix as the bank continues its strong growth plans and creating shareholder value.
Mr. Jawaid Mirza is well known and respected within CIB as over the past 5 years he has been associated with CIB in different roles with the most recent one as Senior Advisor to the Chairman of CIB. Mr Jawaid has a broad range of experience and a solid track record of accomplishments in all facets of strategy, finance, technology as well as operational management. His earlier career experiences prior to CIB include CFO Asia & Australia/NZ, COO Global Private Clients & New Growth Markets, CFO European Region and COO for MEAR (Middle East and Africa Region) for ABN AMRO.Dr Sherif is the founding Dean of the School of Business at the American University in Cairo and the professor of Management Information Systems and holds a PhD in Information Systems from London School of Economics & Political Science. Dr. Sherif has a long and distinguished experience as an academic and won a number of organizational leadership awards for serving the IT community and member of many renowned organizations.Mr Yasser Hashem is well recognized and respected in the legal circle and is a Partner at one of the most reputable law firms Zaki Hashem & Partners and has been involved in many restructuring and incorporations of foreign and domestic companies. His area of expertise include Corporate, Capital markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Telecom law matters. Mr Yasser is a member of the Egyptian Society of International law.All the three gentlemen bring in a broad range of experience & seniority and utilizing their extensive expertise will not only maintain CIB's reputation of attracting the best talent but also contribute to its ambitious growth plans.We are delighted to welcome Mr. Jawaid Mirza, Dr Sherif Kamel and Mr Yasser Hashem to our distinguished Board of Directors and are glad they have accepted this demanding commitment.
