The Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Hugh Grootenhuis, subject to regulatory approval, as an Independent Non-executive Director. The appointment will take effect on the later of 1 September 2017 and the receipt of regulatory consent.  

Hugh was formerly Chief Executive of Waverton Investment Management (previously J O Hambro Investment Management). Hugh is a director of S.W. Mitchell Capital Public Limited Company (since 1 January 2016) and Bridge Fund Management Limited (since 1 September 2016) both these companies are registered in Ireland. There is no other information that is required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Sir David Howard said "We are delighted Hugh is joining the Board. He brings a wealth of investment management experience including successfully leading Waverton through a period of great change under new ownership. Hugh will work with the rest of the Board and management as we seek to continue the successful delivery of our strategy and move us closer to our vision of becoming the UK's leading wealth manager by 2020."
