Notification of transactions of directors and persons discharging managerial responsibilities

Card Factory has been notified that on 26 May 2017, the Company's Chairman, Geoff Cooper, exercised an option, granted to him at the time of the Company's IPO in 2014, to acquire 146,666 ordinary shares in the Company at a price of £2.25 each ("Option"). In order to fund the subscription costs, income tax and national insurance liability in respect of the exercise of the Option, Mr Cooper subsequently sold 121,170 of these ordinary shares at a price of 336.89p per share. As a result of these transactions, Mr Cooper's beneficial interest in ordinary shares has increased by 25,496 shares, resulting in a holding of 318,828 ordinary shares in the Company.

Full details of the Option have previously been disclosed by the Company and are also set out in the Company's 2017 Annual Report and Accounts (a copy of which is available on the Company's investor relations website www.cardfactoryinvestors.com).

The sale outlined above took place on the London Stock Exchange.
