Licence developments
Cadogan has been made aware of a resolutionΒ dated 26 August 2009 andΒ publishedΒ todayΒ on the web portal of the Ukrainian GovernmentΒ whichΒ supports a proposal by the Ministry for the Protection of the Environment to annulΒ and transfer its special permitsΒ andΒ licenceΒ interestsΒ with respect to Pirkovskoe, Zagoryanska, Bitlyanska, Monastyretske and KrasnoyilskeΒ to Naftogas of Ukraine, a state-owned oil and gas company,Β with effect from 23Β September 2009.Β The Company has received no official notification of the resolution from any relevant authority.Β
Cadogan believes there is no legal basis for this action and isΒ taking all available steps to defend its interests.
A further announcement will beΒ madeΒ as appropriate.
