Directorate Changes
The Company announces the following changes to the Board:
Valerie Marshall
Ms Valerie Marshall will retire as Non-Executive Director and Senior Independent Director of the Company with effect from 31 October 2021. Ms Marshall will also retire as Chairman of the Nomination Committee with effect from the same date.
Ms Marshall commented:
"I have been privileged to contribute to the growth of the Trust as a Board member and Senior Independent Director. I am confident that with the refreshed Board and the recent enlargement of the team at the Manager, Gresham House, the Trust will continue to make excellent new investments which will generate consistently good returns for shareholders."
Mr Lawrence (Chairman) commented:
"I want to thank Valerie for the huge contribution that she has made to our Board during her tenure and for her advice and wisdom which has been so important to our venture capital trust. Following an extensive search for successors, I am confident that the new Board will function very efficiently and with intelligence, challenging the Manager and will always make decisions in the best interests of our many and loyal shareholders."
The Company announces that Fiona Miller Smith will be appointed as Senior Independent Director of the Company and that Susannah Nicklin will be appointed Chairman of the Nomination Committee with effect from 31 October 2021.
Other than as set out above, there are no further items requiring disclosure under paragraph 9.6.11 of the UKLA's Listing Rules.
