BURFORD CAPITAL ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF REORGANISATION

Business poised for future growth

Burford Capital Limited (the "Company") is pleased to announce today that it has completed the Reorganisation described in the Company's announcement of 22 November 2012. The Company has issued 24,545,454 new ordinary shares of the Company (the "New Ordinary Shares") to the principals of the Investment Adviser and cancelled the investment advisory agreement that entitled the principals to performance fees. The principal's Ordinary Shares are subject to a two-year lock-up, and the principals are subject to other restrictions and constraints negotiated with the Company's Board.

An application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares, which will rank pari passu with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares, to be admitted to trading on AIM and trading in such shares is expected to commence today, 12 December 2012.

Following the issue of the New Ordinary Shares, the total number of shares in issue and the total number of Ordinary Shares in the Company with voting rights will be 204,545,455. This figure may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculation by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change of interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Service Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
