5 September 2016BlackRock Greater Europe Investment Trust plc (the Company)Transaction in own shares: purchase of own shares to be held in treasuryThe Company announces that it has today purchased 100,000 of its Ordinary Shares at a price of 272.20 pence per share to be held in treasury.Following settlement of this purchase on 7 September 2016 the issued share capital of the Company will be 102,503,113 Ordinary Shares, excluding 7,825,825 which are held in treasury.
