Contract win for Breeding & Genetics division

Benchmark Holdings announces that a subsidiary of its Breeding & Genetics division SalmoBreed AS ("SalmoBreed") has signed a ten-year agreement with Lerøy Aakvik Roe and Stamfisk AS ("Lerøy") - one of the world's top three salmon producers - for the supply of the SalmoBreed genetic stem into its production sites. The agreement will see the Lerøy team start breeding with SalmoBreed's genetic lines, producing SalmoBreed strain ova for sale to companies within the Lerøy Group.

The agreement will not make a material financial contribution to Benchmark in the short term, however the Directors believe that it is of strategic importance to Benchmark's position in the market. This contract represents an endorsement of SalmoBreed's ability to produce world-class salmon strains, and is an encouraging collaboration with one of the largest producers in the industry.

Benchmark's CEO, Malcolm Pye, commented:
