Carbon Neutral Status Maintained

Blancco Technology Group PLC (AIM: BLTG, "Blancco", the "Company" or the "Group"), the industry standard in data erasure and mobile lifecycle solutions, is pleased to announce that it has once again achieved carbon neutrality by offsetting its 2022 Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions.

Blancco first achieved carbon neutrality in 2021, and the 2022 report shows a reduction in emission intensity. As part of the Group's commitment to carbon neutrality in line with PAS 2060, Blancco has purchased carbon credits to offset 100% of its residual 2022 Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions. The credits relate to the installation of a 250 MW wind power project in the Tamil Nadu state of India, which is estimated to displace approximately 750 GWh of fossil-fuel generated electricity in the region each year. 

Blancco will continue to purchase offsets that represent genuine GHG emissions reductions and meet the criteria of additionality, permanence, leakage and double counting, in line with recognised frameworks such as the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS).

Adam Moloney, CFO of Blancco, said:

"This represents Blancco's second year of carbon neutrality, and it's good to see the reduction in emissions intensity. Being carbon neutral is important for us, as it is for our customers. The fact that Blancco's products themselves reduce emissions for our customers and that we as an international operating company are carbon neutral can only be a positive point for all of our stakeholders."
