RIGHTS ISSUE - SHORTFALL

Berkeley Resources Limited is pleased to announce that the Company has received applications for 5,064,510 Shares at an issue price of $0.50 each under the one for twenty non renounceable rights issue.

The shortfall for the rights issue is 815,074 Shares. In accordance with the terms of the rights issue, the Directors will exercise their discretion to issue the Shortfall Securities. 

Application will be made for the new shares to be admitted to trading on AIM and admission is expected to take place on 19 June 2009.
