Update on eva
Forbidden Technologies plc (AIM: FBT), the AIM-quoted owner and developer of the market leading cloud video platform, Forscene, is pleased to report a further update on its new social video platform, eva.
As part of the strategy, Forbidden continues to build the eva brand in advance of the launch. The brand building makes effective use of social media, with Facebook distributing content and messages to users who 'like' the eva page.
We reported last month that the eva page exceeded our target of 500 Facebook likes for August. We subsequently set an ambitious target of 2,000 likes for September. I am pleased to report that we have exceeded this target with, as of 29 September, over 6,000 Facebook likes.
eva Alpha 1, launched last month for Android devices, testing specific features and resolving specific technical issues. We are currently planning the eva Alpha 2 launch, also to be Android-only.
Example prototypes for the version 1 release are now largely complete, and work has started on a more advanced beta test version for iOS.
To help build eva into a 'best of breed' product, we have created the "eva Ambassador" programme, which is now underway. This group includes outstanding people in business innovation and social media. Through their expertise and diverse experience, these leaders provide many insights for eva. The eva thought leaders include Google Ambassador, Matt Dufour; Co-founder of Graze, Edd Read; and George Berkowski, who brought the Hailo product to the world and is the author of "How to build a Billion Dollar app".
The eva website, www.eva.co, allows registration for the alpha programme, and contains regular blog posts informing readers about various aspects of eva and its creation.
