Forbidden Technologies plc
("Forbidden" or the "Company")
Forbidden enters Corporate market with Pegasus Works
Forbidden Technologies, the AIM quoted owner and developer of the FORscene cloud-based video platform, is pleased to announce that its first FORscene Server Lite software client, Pegasus Works ("Pegasus"), is using the new software in its corporate workflows.
FORscene Server Lite is a software version of the broadcast grade FORscene Server Linux, used to compress and upload video, audio and graphics into the cloud. Whereas the Linux version runs on dedicated hardware, FORscene Server Lite is a software-only solution designed to run on Microsoft Windows desktop and laptop computers.
Pegasus produces live events and videos globally. Its teams use FORscene Server Lite, on laptops, at events and film shoots around the world. FORscene Server Lite ingests the video on location and uploads it into the FORscene cloud for review and editing. As software on a standard PC, FORscene Server Lite can be used by Pegasus internationally without the need for carnet documentation at customs.
Forbidden expects the developments made to support the Pegasus workflows through FORscene Server Lite will prove attractive in the corporate environment, particularly where a rack-based server is not needed and a more lightweight, mobile solution is appropriate.
Alison Driver, Head of Pegasus Digital at Pegasus Works, says:
"FORscene Server Lite works well as part of our solutions for international filming and workflow. The system ingests our video content from locations around the world, so that it can be quickly reviewed and edited in the UK before the crew returns. We have found Forbidden responsive to our needs."
Stephen Streater, CEO of Forbidden Technologies, says:
"The use by Pegasus of FORscene for editing highlights its versatility and its growing role as a cloud video editing platform. Supporting efficient video workflows, FORscene is an attractive option in a growing number of fast-turnaround professional sectors."
