Stanelco PLC03 November 2006 Stanelco plc ("the Company") Notifiable Interest The Company was notified by a letter dated 2 November 2006 that the British CoalStaff Superannuation Scheme, registered in the name of British Coal StaffSuperannuation Scheme (Chase GIS) nominees Ltd, now has an interest in39,829,955 Ordinary Shares of 0.1p each in the Company. This represents a totalof 3.98 per cent of the issued share capital of the Company. The Company was also notified by a separate letter dated 2 November 2006 thatthe Mineworkers Pension Scheme, registered in the name of Mineworkers PensionScheme (Chase GIS) nominees Ltd, now has an interest in 43,029,956 OrdinaryShares of 0.1p each in the Company. This represents a total of 4.30 per cent ofthe issued share capital of the Company.
