Board Changes
Billington confirms today that Mark Smith has been appointed to the Board with immediate effect and joins as Group Chief Operating Officer.
Mark Smith, aged 47, was previously London Operations Director of one of the country's largest structural steelwork specialists. Before that, for a period of 26 years he was employed by D. A. Green Steel and Cladding ("DAG") and was a Board Director.
Peter Hems, Chairman of Billington commented, "I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Smith as Group Chief Operating Officer, Mark has worked in the structural steel industry for a considerable number of years and comes with a wide range of experience. His membership of the Billington Group Board will further strengthen our senior management team."
Mark does not hold any shares, or any options over shares, in Billington.
DAG was placed into administration on 20 October 2010, four months after Mark had resigned. DAG was subsequently placed into a creditor's voluntary liquidation and was finally dissolved in October 2013, with all secured and preferential creditors being paid in full. Mark is also currently a director of Stables Court Management Company Limited.
There is no further information that falls to be disclosed pursuant to Rule 17 and Schedule 2; paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
