Babcock, announced as one of the preferred bidders for Network Rail's conventional plain line track works
Babcock, the UK's leading engineering support services organisation, is pleased to announce that its Rail business has been successful in winning work across three of the seven geographic lots to deliver conventional plain line track works for Network Rail. The three lots comprise Western, Wales and Wessex; Scotland and LNW South and are worth around £200 million over a five year period from April 2014 to March 2019.
This is part of Network Rail's £375 million conventional plain line track renewals programme.
Peter Rogers, Chief Executive of Babcock commented:
