Avocet Mining PLC09 November 2006 Avocet Mining PLC (the "Company") Notice of Substantial Shareholding The Company has also been informed on 9 November 2006 pursuant to the provisionsof the Companies Act 1985 that Artemis Investment Management Limited ("Artemis")and certain of its subsidiary companies holds an interest in the Company of13.95%, representing 16,954,690 ordinary shares out of an issued ordinary sharecapital of 121,576,530 ordinary shares.
