Avacta Group plc ("Avacta" or the "Company") Directors' Share Dealings

The Company was informed on 5th April 2007 that, pursuant to the Company's recent placing which became effective on the same day, the following directors of the Company purchased in aggregate 3,400,000 ordinary shares of 0.1p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at the placing price of 2.5p per Ordinary Share. The individual purchases and the resulting interests of the directors are set out below:
