Augean Plc27 October 2006 Augean Plc Board changes The Board of Augean Plc ("Augean" or the "Company") today announces that JohnHuntington is stepping down from his position as Chief Executive of Augean withimmediate effect. The Board has appointed Roger McDowell, currently a Non Executive Director ofthe Company, as Acting Chief Executive of the Company, a position he will holduntil a permanent successor has been appointed. The Board is also pleased to announce that Rory Macnamara (aged 51), a charteredaccountant and previously Head of M&A at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell and latterly aManaging Director at Lehman Brothers, will be joining the Board as a NonExecutive Director of the Company. Commenting on the changes, David Williams, Chairman of Augean, said: "The Board has been very appreciative of John's technical expertise andknowledge, and of his dedication in developing Augean into one of the UK'sleading hazardous waste businesses. Roger will now be using his skills to boost our sales and marketing effortswhich are necessary to improve the volumes and thus deliver the results which wewould all wish to see. Rory's expertise will also be helpful as we finalise ourreview of strategic options."
