Director Appointment
Athelney Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Frank Ashton as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, effective immediately.
Frank Ashton, aged 57, is a highly experienced senior manager and independent management consultant. After leaving Cambridge University with a Natural Sciences degree (Metallurgy & Materials Science), he spent much of his career providing independent management advice to companies in a wide variety of sectors. With 15 years spent at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG (Operational Due Diligence) and 5 years working in Strategy and M&A for Cummins Inc, he has a proven track record in shareholder value creation and governance, in providing strategic and operational advice to both public and private companies in Europe and USA, as well as working at a policy level for Government entities.
Accordingly, following the Company's General Meeting held on 22 January 2019 and the resignation of Paul Coffin announced today, the current Board of Directors therefore consists of David Lawman and Frank Ashton. David is the Non-Executive Chairman of the Company, with both Directors also sitting on the Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee.
David Lawman, Chairman of the Company, said: "I am delighted to welcome Frank to the Board. The Company will greatly benefit from his advice and experience and I look forward to working closely with him. The new Board are now focused on the future and we look forward to updating shareholders with further details in due course."
