NOTIFICATION ON APPOINTMENT IN RESPECT OF LR 9.6.13R

WS Atkins plc (the "Company") announces that, further to the appointment of Allister Langlands as a non-executive director on 4 September 2013, he is a director of the following publicly quoted companies:

Mr Langlands has confirmed that there is no further information to disclose in respect of LR 9.6.13R.

Mr Langlands has also advised that, as at his date of appointment, he owned 5,000 ordinary shares of 0.5 pence each in the Company. This equates to 0.005% of the Company's voting issued share capital.
