Mwana Africa PLC18 January 2007 For Immediate Release18 January 2007 MWANA AFRICA PLC ('Mwana' or 'the Company') Exercise of Warrants and Disposal of Shares The Company has received notice that on 11 December 2006, Oliver Baring, theCompany's Executive Chairman, exercised warrants over 500,000 ordinary sharesin the Company at an exercise price of 30 pence per share. Subsequently, on December 18th and 20th, Mr. Baring's pension fund bought 250,000 and 50,000ordinary shares at 42p and 40p, respectively.
