AorTechĀ AGM Statement
At the Annual General Meeting ofĀ AorTech International plcĀ to be heldĀ 16Ā September 2009,
ChairmanĀ Jon PitherĀ will make the following statement:
"PolymerĀ and manufactured componentĀ volume and revenueĀ continue to grow as a consequence of the maturation of existing licenses and the addition of new ones. Now entering itsĀ fourthĀ year ofĀ long term implant use,Ā the performance of Elast-Eonā¢Ā polymersĀ continues to be defect-free.Ā These implants now number in the millions and are comprised of a growing spectrum of applications.
"We are particularly excited about the progress of our component business.Ā From ourĀ 25,000 square footĀ ISO certifiedĀ manufacturing facility we are now routinely shippingĀ various components for spinal disc and circulatory support devices. Our entry into the $100m header market will be punctuated by first human use in 2010 andĀ we are in the late stages of qualifying our polymer heart valve technology for useĀ in circulatory support devices.
"There have been no significant changes in the financial position of the Company since 31 March
2009."
TheĀ twelfth Annual General Meeting of AorTech International plc will be heldĀ in theĀ Mansfield Room of the Marriott Hotel Chancery Court, 252 High Holborn, London WC1V 7EN onĀ 16 September 2009 at 12:00 noon.
