Anglo Platinum Limited19 January 2006 Issuer Long Name : Anglo Platinum LimitedInstrument Alpha Code/Ticker Symbol : AMS; AMSPISIN : ZAE000013181; ZAE000054474 Anglo Platinum trading statement 19 January 2006 Anglo Platinum advises shareholders that earnings for the year ended 31 December2005 are expected to be higher than earnings for the year ended 31 December2004, which were restated following the adoption of IFRS 2 - Share BasedPayments, as follows: - Headline earnings per ordinary share are expected to be between 60% and65% higher than the restated headline earnings per ordinary share of 1 120,6cents. - Earnings per ordinary share are expected to be between 77% and 82%higher than the restated earnings per ordinary share of 1 077,8 cents. The expected increases are primarily as a result of higher Rand prices of metalssold. The increase in earnings per share is greater than the increase inheadline earnings per share primarily as a result of gains of a capital natureassociated with the Mototolo, Marikana and Elandsfontein transactions concludedduring 2005.This trading statement is issued in compliance with the revised ListingsRequirements (Section 3.4 (b)) of the JSE Limited, which became effective on 1December 2004.
