The shares have been acquired throughΒ a black economic empowerment (BEE) transactionΒ with Lereko Investment Holdings, entered into in 2004 before Mr. Moosa became an Anglo Platinum director,Β Β (such shares having been held in trust by the RPM Waterval Empowerment Trust on behalf o the beneficiaries, including Mr. Moosa), which served to facilitate the acquisition by Anglo Platinum of mining rights for Waterval Section as part of the Rustenburg Platinum Mines Operation. Conditions precedent now having been met pertaining to the transaction, the shares are being transferred to the beneficiaries of the Empowerment Trust.Β
Prior written approval in terms of paragraph 3.66 of the Listings Requirements has been obtained.
