Anglo Platinum Limited11 December 2006 Media and SENS release Anglo Platinum Limited Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa Registration No.: 1946/022452/06 JSE Ordinary Share Code: AMS ISIN: ZAE000013181 JSE Preference Share Code: AMSP ISIN: ZAE000054474 ("Anglo Platinum") 11 December 2006 Anglo Platinum announces a material conversion of its preference shares Anglo Platinum announces that it has received notice from Anglo South AfricaCapital (Pty) Limited, a holder of 29 908 480 Anglo Platinum ConvertiblePerpetual Cumulative Preference Shares ("the Preference Shares") electing toconvert such Preference Shares to Anglo Platinum ordinary shares in terms of therights and privileges of the Preference Shares. The conversion process hascommenced and will result in 10 369 407 Anglo Platinum ordinary shares beinglisted on the JSE on 22 December 2006. Since the issue of the Preference Shares on 31 May 2004, 5 319 shares have beenconverted to ordinary shares and 39 994 681 Preference Shares are currently inissue. Anglo Platinum has also received notices from several other holders andis currently converting 41 369 of their Preference Shares to Anglo Platinumordinary shares.
