Grant of Options

The board of Animalcare (AIM: ANCR), the supplier of pharmaceutical and other premium products and services to the veterinary industry, announces that on 20 June 2013, the Company granted certain of its directors options ("Options") over 130,000 ordinary shares of 20 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") in the capital of the Company pursuant to the Animalcare Group plc Executive Share Option Scheme ("the Executive Scheme") and Options over a further 13,131 Ordinary Shares pursuant to the Animalcare Group plc Savings Related Share Option Scheme (SAYE) ("the Savings Related Scheme").

The Options granted under the Executive Scheme are exercisable between 30 June 2016 and 30 June 2019 at a price of 141.5 pence per Ordinary Share, being the closing mid-market price on 19 June 2013.

The Options granted under the Savings Related Scheme have a contract start date of 1 July 2013 and are exercisable between 1 July 2016 and 31 December 2016. The exercise price, which was set in accordance with HM Revenue & Customs ("HMRC") rules for approved sharesave plans, is 103 pence per Ordinary Share.

The number of Options granted to the directors subject to these arrangements and their resultant beneficial interests in the capital of the Company are as follows:

On 20 June 2013, the Company also granted Options over a further 191,009 Ordinary Shares (90,000 under the Executive Scheme and 101,009 under the Savings Related Scheme) to various other employees of Animalcare and its subsidiary companies ("the Group") on the same terms as outlined above. Promoting wider share ownership across the Group forms part of the Animalcare board's strategy and, in accordance with HMRC rules, the opportunity to participate in the Savings Related Scheme was made available to all employees.
