Animalcare (AIM: ANCR), a leading supplier of veterinary medicines, announces that George Gunn will resign as Non-Executive Director with immediate effect.

Following his appointment in February 2015 Mr Gunn set up a consultancy company and has concluded he should step down to avoid any potential conflicts with his Non-Executive Board position. Animalcare will still work closely with Mr Gunn on an ad hoc advisory basis where appropriate which will allow the Company to continue to benefit from his extensive expertise in the Animal Health Pharmaceutical industry.

Iain Menneer, CEO of Animalcare, said: "While Animalcare is disappointed to lose George Gunn as a member of our Board of Directors we understand and respect George's decision to concentrate on his consultancy activities and look forward to continuing to work with him in an advisory capacity."
