Sierra Leone Diamond Company Ld15 February 2005 For Immediate Release 15 February 2005 Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited ("SLDC" or the "Company") Directorate Change - Senior Management Strengthened Sierra Leone Diamond Company (AIM:SLD), the diamond exploration and developmentcompany, today announces changes to its Senior Management structure, followingthe successful Initial Public Offering and Admission to AIM. The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of David Gadd-Claxton,currently a Non-Executive Director, as President and Chief Executive Officer andAllan Dolan as Vice-Chairman, Corporate Development, of the Company. Theappointments will become effective on 1 March 2005. The Company is now focussed on completing the airborne survey and drainagesampling of its Licence areas and commencing a programme of pitting, trenchingand drilling of kimberlite targets. Mr Gadd-Claxton will assume the position ofChief Executive to oversee the development of SLDC's exploration and developmentstrategy outlined as part of its Admission to AIM. Mr. Dolan will head the Corporate Development activities of the Company. Commenting on the Board changes, Frank Timis, Non-Executive Chairman said: "The appointments of David and Allan underline the rapid development plans ofthe Company.
