Sierra Leone Diamond Company Ld30 January 2007 For Immediate Release 30 January 2007 Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited ("SLDC" or the "Company") Loan Repayment Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited,(AIM:SLD), the diamond company with licence interests wholly focused in the country of Sierra Leone announces the full repayment of the loan with Timis Diamond Corporation Limited ("TDC"). The Company announced on 23 October 2006 that it had entered into a loan agreement TDC("the Loan Agreement"). Under the terms of the Loan Agreement, TDC agreed to lend the Company the sum of US$3.1 million ("the Loan") with interest to accrue at the rate of 1% plus the annual rate of interest equal to the arithmetic TDC owns 34.6% of the issued and fully paid common shares of US$0.01 each of the Company. The Loan was fully repaid on 19 December 2006 including interest amounting to $34,710. All legal charges associated with the loan were released.
