Sierra Leone Diamond Company Ld22 December 2006 For immediate release 22 December 2006 Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited ("SLDC" or the "Company") Holdings in Company Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited (AIM: SLD), the diamond company withlicence interests wholly focused in the country of Sierra Leone, announces that: • the Company was notified on 24th November 2006 by Audley European Opportunities Master Fund Limited that they have an interest in 9,030,000 of the Company's Common Share Capital, representing 7.65 percent of the issued Common Share Capital at that date. Following the recent Cash Placing this now represents 6.95 percent of the 130,003,241 issued Common Share Capital. • the Company was notified on 13th December 2006 by The Capital Group Companies, Inc., that they have an interest in 8,285,000 of the Company's Common Share Capital, representing 6.373 percent of the issued Common Share Capital. • the Company was notified on 15th December 2006 that Artemis Investment Management Limited, and certain of its subsidiary companies, have an interest in 3,275,000 of the Company's Common Share Capital, representing 2.52 percent of the issued Common Share Capital.
