Sierra Leone Diamond Company Ld09 February 2006 For immediate release 9 February 2006 Sierra Leone Diamond Company Limited (SLDC" or the "Company") Additional Listing Sierra Leone Diamond Company announces that further to the press release issuedon 24 January 2006 the Company has issued 1,930,000 new ordinary shares of US$0.01 each (the 'New Ordinary Shares') pursuant to a contract to purchase miningequipment located in our new Mining Lease area in the Kono district of SierraLeone. The shares were issued on 3 February 2006 at a closing price of 56.5 p.Subsequent to the issue of these shares, SLDC will have 98,743,240 shares inissue. Application has been made for the New Ordinary Shares, which will rank paripassu with the Company's existing Ordinary Shares. Dealings on AIM are expected to commence on 13 February 2006.
