Chaco Resources PLC05 October 2006 AIM: CHP 5 October 2006 CHACO RESOURCES PLC ("Chaco" or "the Company") Exercise of Options Chaco Resources Plc ('Chaco' or the 'Company') was today notified by Jon Pither,the Company's Non-executive Chairman, that he wishes to exercise his optionsover 1,000,000 ordinary shares in the Company. The exercise Price is 2.16 penceper share. Jon Pither will, following the exercise of these options, hold2,159,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.4 per cent of theCompany's issued share capital. The Company has also been notified today that another option holder wishes toexercise options over 300,000 ordinary shares at a price of 2.16 pence per share The Company has issued and alloted 1,300,000 new ordinary shares and has appliedfor them to be admitted to trading on AIM. The shares are expected to beadmitted on 10 October 2006.
