Board Change
Alkane Energy plc (AIM: ALK), the fast growing owner and operator of "Gas to Power" plants in the UK, today announces that Non-executive Director, Lord Fraser of Carmyllie, has decided that he will not stand for re-election to the Board at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on 6 May 2009 following eight industrious years of service.
The Board would like to thank Lord Fraser for his invaluable contribution to the Company during his tenure as a Director and wish him well for the future.
Commenting today, John Lander, Chairman, said:
"I have had the pleasure of working closely with Lord Fraser for the last five years. Lord Fraser has been a very important part of the Alkane team that has built the Company to be the profitable and fast growing clean and renewable energy UK focussed business it is today.
