Issue of Warrants to the Minister for Finance
Further to the announcement issued on 27 April 2017 that the Minister for Finance had issued a Warrant Creation Notice on 26 April 2017 requiring Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. ("AIB") to issue warrants to the Minister for Finance five business days after re-admission of AIB's ordinary shares to a regulated market, AIB confirms that on 4 July 2017 it issued warrants to the Minister for Finance to subscribe for 271,166,685 ordinary shares of AIB, representing 9.99% of the issued share capital of AIB at admission of AIB's ordinary shares to the Official Lists of each of the Irish Stock Exchange and the FCA. .
