DIRECTORATE CHANGE

The Boards of AIB Group plc and Allied Irish Banks, p.l.c. (together the "Group" or "AIB") announce that the Group's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Tomás O'Midheach, has tendered his resignation to the Board, and triggered the 6 month notice period in his contract, in order to pursue other business interests. Since joining the Group in June 2006, Tomás held a number of senior executive positions including Head of Direct Channels & Analytics and Chief Digital Officer. He was appointed as an Executive Director in March 2019.

Colin Hunt, Chief Executive Officer, said:

"I want to thank Tomás on behalf of the Board and to record our appreciation to him for his substantial contribution to the Group during his 14 years of service. He has shown great commitment and leadership and has been a highly-valued colleague. On behalf of all of us at AIB, I wish Tomás the very best for his future endeavours."

Tomás O'Midheach commented:

"I have greatly enjoyed my time with AIB. It has been a privilege to serve on the Board and to work with such talented and committed colleagues over my career with the Group. I wish my colleagues, the Board, Colin and the Group every success in the future."
