Revised Accounts for the period 1 April 2015 to 30 April 2016 but no change to reported numbers

AEW UK REIT plc (LSE: AEWU) ("the Company") has today published revised financial statements for the 13 month period ended 30 April 2016 ("Revised Financial Statements") which replace the original financial statements for that period, which had been approved on 7 July 2016. The Revised Financial Statements do not change any reported amounts and are limited to a duplication of presentation.

In the original financial statements a single column/table had been presented in the primary statements in respect of both the parent company and consolidated financial statements on the basis that, to the £'000 level of rounding, all amounts were the same for both sets of financial statements and a note was made to that effect.

The Revised Financial Statements have been prepared following the refusal by the Registrar of Companies to accept for filing the original financial statements as in their view they failed to comply with the Companies Act 2006.

Accordingly, the Revised Financial Statements present two columns or tables, one for the parent company financial statements and one for the consolidated financial statements, in each of the primary statements. The amounts in each pair of columns/tables are exactly the same, as the parent company's only subsidiary has been dormant since incorporation and has no balances material for consolidation (the paid up share capital is only 1 pence).

The revision does not change any reported amounts but is limited to duplicating the presentation of those amounts in order to make clearer that those amounts represent the parent company as well as the Group.

The Revised Financial Statements will be submitted to the Registrar of Companies for filing and will be uploaded to NSM.
