Third dividend for the year to 31 December 2008
Following the successful sale of your Company's investment in Grosvenor Health at the end of May of this year, I am pleased to say that the VCT still has healthy cash balances in its portfolio. With this in mind, the Board has decided to pay a further dividend for the year to 31 December 2008 of 4 pence per Ordinary Share, payable on 30 December 2008 to those shareholders on the register as at 12 December 2008.
This brings the total dividends paid for the year to 12 pence per Ordinary Share. It is intended, however, that this third dividend will be replacing the first dividend for the year to 31 December 2009. Thus Shareholders will only receive one dividend next year.
Those Shareholders who would like to join theย Dividend Reinvestment Scheme, and have not yet done so, may download the relevant form from Close Ventures' website (www.closeventures.co.uk)ย where they will find a mandate form under the section covering Close Brothers Development VCT.
