Ian McDermott announced as new Chief Executive of Catalyst Housing
Ian McDermott will take over the role of Chief Executive at Catalyst Housing when Rod Cahill retires at the end of 2018.
Ian joins Catalyst from Aldwyck Housing Group, having served as its Chief Executive since October 2016. Before joining Aldwyck Ian was Chief Operating Officer at Sanctuary Group for five years.
Ian has more than three decades' experience working in housing in London as well as nationally and was recently elected as the Chair of Build East, an alliance of the largest developing housing associations based across the East of England.
He previously held the role of Chief Executive at Shaftesbury Housing Group before it joined the Sanctuary Group, as well as at Riverhaven, and Stonebridge Housing Action Trust.
Catalyst will welcome Ian in January 2019 following Rod Cahill's departure at the end of this year. Rod and Ian will be working closely in advance of this to ensure a smooth transition.
