Shouldn’t do politics on here but what utter tosh. learn some history. why do hezbollah and hamas exist in the first place? in response to decades old israeli aggression and theft of palestinian lands, starting with the naqba in 1947. israel were the original terrorist group in the middle east, killing and hanging british soldiers and bombing british controlled buildings. if israel is excused its atrocities under the coverall “ it’s allowed to defend itself..” then why not palestinians and lebanese? iran supports hamas and hezbollah but to a fraction of the support the USA gives to israel. what’s the difference?

Kharg island is in the north of the gulf, nowhere near(at least 500 miles north of) the strait of Hormuz - Trump claimed to have bombed Kharg into dust but would continue to bomb it "for fun" - if his comments are true (who knows?) then there is zero point in sending marines to Kharg. If regime change is still a goal of israel and it's puppet, the USA, then destroying Kharg was a big mistake as it's the only way that Iran can get it's oil to market. a new, Zionist-friendly regime would need oil income in order to re-build and improve the lives of Iranian citizens - that option has now gone up in smoke.

I think the history of CAML management shows that they will be balanced- a decent divi, nothing extraordinary, with a note to looking for acquisitions and having a decent cash pile for that purpose. If they start giving all the cash to shareholders in the form of increased divs, the market will loose faith in their ability/intention to fund an acquisition/s and the share price will bomb.

I agree with most of that, but China are WAY ahead of UK in renewables for energy, mostly from Solar. huge solar farms all over China, significant reductions in their Co2 output and a massive uptake of EV's. but you won't hear or read that in our Right wing media, china-bashing is de rigueur.
