Hi Tim
Thanks once again for getting a company response to my question .
Just thinking things through since , here are my thoughts , you might also want to share them with your contact.
We are where we are with Frontera / Hope litigation and we shareholders are bystanders
The vast majority of shareholders are in the friendly camp , on the same side as company , and desperately willing it to prevail in the challenges it currently faces.
As an individual shareholder since the start of the year I have had only one route to obtain info re our company i.e online message boards, such as II & LSE , there are others of course but I prefer the company of folk who are friendly to Frontera.
The amount of info that has been unearthed by shareholders about the various ins and outs of the current legals has astounded me .
As each new chapter has opened and then closed various shareholders somewhere or other have unearthed it and laid it out for the rest of us , wether it be good or bad.
Collectively there must have been thousands of hrs spent trawling through websites across the globe ......courts / legal/ companies / govt/ newspapers/ trade publications / social media ...the list goes on .
But why should it be like that .
I am no Oil Baron or Learned Council and cannot begin to understand some of the complexities the company is having to face and deal with requiring its cards to be held so close to its chest .
However cannot some cards be revealed to shareholders once they have been discarded
Example:
After learning about FRCC liquidation I was shall we say at a low ebb, then there was the uplift upon learning about the Directors DOS in relation to that , not totally clear of its implications but on the face of it positive .
How did I learn about Directors DOS....from court papers submitted by Mr Hope !!...that stung ..... as usual, had to be unearthed by shareholder on above boards....
The DOS seems to be significant ....” we can pay our debts “ .... It was not confidential info once submitted , the other side obviously learned of submission as a matter of course in the process .
So why could that info not have been relayed to us by the company with factual pros/ cons , nothing to keep from Mr Hope ,he knew all about it ......can we have the merits or not of DOS explained still ?
Similarly with any other significant events when it becomes clear they are no longer cards that need to be so tightly held.
Obviously I don’t mean we should receive daily updates / running commentary, but when important developments/ news is, or is about to be put in the public domain in far away lands why can’t the Company via its website or another route inform its shareholders ?
Informing us would be helpful, even if it can’t safely be commented on it.
