Euro NCAP states that the technology for ADDW systems exists and is robust (i.e. Tier 1 suppliers), but that OEMs are still learning these systems and figuring out 1) what to do with the information that the system outputs (i.e. what the information means), 2) how to handle this information, 3) what thresholds to use and 4) what the intervention should be. This is mainly due to the lack of experience with the technology and due to a lot of the elements of these systems being configurable (i.e. set by the OEM). Moreover, Euro NCAP stated that OEMs do not want an aggressive or annoying system, because this would reduce customer experience and may cause distraction instead of preventing it. Instead, they only want to be engaging with the driver when they are at risk of potentially having a collision. Euro NCAP suggests that OEMs need more time, potentially two more years, to become familiar with these systems before they become regulated.
What bothers me is that there has been no SEE RNS, yet Toyota, are talking about the DMS solution going in to cars and have it already in the Lexus we saw on the video. How can this be?
For all other OEMs we have had announcements years before the OEM got to announce the polished product.
Something does sit well with me on this.
SE have been working with OmniVision for since 2018 it appears. The difference between the 3. 2018 was the OV2311 camera, 2020 the OV2312 and video conferencing when driving (why) and yesterday was interior sensing, so an OMS product.

Interesting that Toyota want to start selling the complete system, assuming teammate is a complete DMS system, could it be that could be in competition to SEE, and in not in partnership with. Anyone care to quantity the risk here?
I actually fit the job spec for one of these roles and let out a bit of wee in happiness when I saw the ad come up. Turns out I’m th ring side of 45 to emigrate. I had wondered when they would be looking for these sorts of roles. It shows a maturing organisation, investment and a strategy.
The cloud role will be also be about access to higher order services that unable trg mining and analysis of the data, this is really where cloud compute platforms like AWS come into its own.
This is an interesting question, who knows the answer. We will in time. I future everything as a service model will play to the SP as you have to have the hardware installed to begin with for the second owner of a vehicle to turn on all the options that the original owner did not want. The OEM installs them with the expectation that one or more of the cars 2, 3, or 4 owners will want to pay the subscription costs for the XaaS. Not sure how this works for SEE. Don’t see it being a bad thing. Are we there yet. Not sure. I see GM are already going in this direction and I think others will follow
The 50,000 units projected by the broker and the corresponding so price spike and fall when the company came clean that this would not be the case. I learnt a lesson that day, but have forgotten what it was.
Something feels different this time, time frames are closer, legislation, multiple verticals. The macro environment is one of the bigger risks for me tbh.
Interesting, if this becomes law....180 days max to report, + 4 years to legislate, + 2 “model years” to be implemented for all new vehicles.
Not sure of the initial time to get this into law, but from there the clock is ticking. 6 &1/2 years is a long window, but I thought that about the EU legislation a couple of years back and it is nearly in. Thoughts anyone
I actually think its going to be results in Oct/Nov 23 and then each year onwards that will lead to significant value, reaching truly special returns by the end of 27. Still have to win the contracts, lots of fingers in lots of pies, 3 pillars etc, but where are the RNSs? I refer to my earlier point that it is nearly May already and no new contracts or RNSs with value. With the pipeline, and the juggernaut this should be, these should be weekly.....
That said January was very good and probably took a while to recover from the effort that went it to getting all that news off the ground.
I will believe it when I see it, and hopefully we will. Been here too long to believe the hype too much, its nearly May already and we are still at 10p. I do think the opportunity to the upside is huge, but its now needs to be delivered. I won't be exiting at 15p, and I am holding off re-entering the housing market until SEE provides me with a significant deposit. I think it will come, but it might not be until the EOY balance sheet is shows some significant results.
